Fr Archie' s birthday was celebrated at the monastery on 9 July. In the morning mass at Lar. Then in the evening at 6.00 Novena mass at the monastery. Followed by cake cutting. At 7.30 cultural Bonanza followed by Dinner.

On 3 May 2019, Rev Dr Pius James, Vicar Provincial inaugurated Postulancy in Margao. Fr Ronald D'souza preached the homily at mass. 8 Postulants were inducted into postulancy. Besides community members there were the Regional vocation Promoters.

The Months mind of Fr. Edwin Diniz was celebrated at the Carmelite Monastery on 24 May 2019 at 6.00 p.m. The main celebrant was Fr Romeo, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Goa. Fr. Nazareth, Asst General Pilar and Fr Sertor PP of Assolna along with Carmelite Fathers from Margao and Mapuca concelebrated. The Choir was conducted by Friday Edwin's Nieces.

Rev Fr Edwin Diniz hailing from Merces, Goa aged 75 passed away on 25 April 2019. He was laid to rest on 27 April 2019.He was a professor at Teresianum, Rome for over 40 years. After his retirement he served at Empoli Parish in Italy. He was assigned to Margao community. Even before he could come in he suffered from an auto immune disease. He was for four months with his family at Merces. Then he was moved to GMC Goa. When the treatment failed, he breathed his last 25 April 2019.He was laid to rest on 27 April 2019. Bishop Filipe Neri Ferrao celebrated the mass, Fr Archie preached the homily, Fr Provincial conducted the last rites and Fr Sylvestre D'souza presented Eulogy on behalf of the Province and his niece thanked one and all.

Fr. Joseph D'souza celebrate 50th Birthday
MARGAO: Fr. Joseph D'souza attached to the Carmelite Monastery Margao celebrated 50 years of his life on 15th Oct 2017 , Solemnity of St. Teresa of Avila. Fr. Joseph was the main celebrant for the feast mass of the Solemnity of St. Teresa of Avila at the Monastery Chapel. A special programme in the evening presented by the postulants began with the Prayer Service entertained the gathering. Fathers from Xellim, Mapusa and Honnavar community were present along with the members of OCDS, Legion of Mary, Catechism teachers and inmates of Lar de Santa Terezinha. Fr. Archibald Gonsalves, Superior of the Carmelite Monastery spoke on the occasion.. Fr. Joseph D'souza expressed few words of gratitude.

The Margao Community went to Capo De Rama for a picnic on 17th May 2017. The batch of 12 brothers will be heading to Mysore for their philosophy on 19th. God Bless them
